The prestigious Imperial College of London trusted UVRER for the design of a tailor-made water treatment module, developed to perform numerous tests within its premises.
Bilal, R&D manager at UVRER explains this project in more detail.
How is the device made?
“This custom-made device consists of a storage tank, a flow control system, a set of filters and 2 UV-C bactericides mounted and assembled by our team on a stainless-steel frame. The desired water flow is regulated using the flow meter and the valve located on the skid. The effluent then passes through a series of filters to finally be disinfected using the two bactericides designed for this application.”
What constraints did you have to work with to manufacture this device?
“Mainly a space constraint. The Imperial College asked us to design a device with very precise dimensions, intended to be integrated into a limited space. The whole challenge was to design a tailor-made module that could meet their technical needs while adapting the given dimensions.”
